Companies House Striking Off Procedures

Business Comments Off on Companies House Striking Off Procedures

There has been a recent change of policy at Companies House as part of their aim to ensure that Companies keep their filing requirements up to date.

They are instigating ‘Proposal to Strike Off’ procedures against Companies and LLP’s in all cases where any document is more than 2 months late. This applies to Accounts (as well as Annual Returns), or any other document that ought to be filed.

Companies House state that if no reply is received to a reminder sent to the Company’s Registered Office, then after 2 months they will commence strike off procedures automatically. The late document has to be filed to stop the striking off procedure going ahead.
